Save the Frogs!

If you are looking for a FREE scientific educational opportunity for your family (or yourself), here is an event for you!  The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is partnering with Frog Watch USA to educate participants about amphibians in the area.  Attendees will learn how to distinguish frogs by their calls.  Once educated, your budding science team will trek out into the local wetlands and ponds to collect data about the area’s frogs and toads.  Apparently the state of the amphibian’s health can be used to predict the health of the ecosystem surrounding it.
We realize this is short notice, but, better late than never, right?
Choose a training to attend:
Tuesday, March 15   5:30-9:30 pm
or
Saturday, March 19   1:00-5:00 pm
Training classes will be held at the Diehm Museum classroom.  There is no fee to attend.
To register for the training or get more information, contact the Zoo Volunteer Office at 260-427-6828 or volunteer@kidszoo.org.

Thanks, Katie, for this great tip!
