Frugal Quick Tip: Cook a Turkey to Freeze
Clearly I am not a food photographer...or much of a regular photographer either, for that matter. But, it sure is handy to take pictures with my iPod and email them to frugalfortwayne @ gmail dot com for posts.
Anyhew, the point of this post is to save money by cooking your own bird and freezing it. Last week, turkeys were 50% off at Meijer, making it $0.75/ pound. I will use this meat to save my husband from the perils of peanut butter and jelly (yes, I still bless him with jelly) for a brief time and use it for dinners. It may seem like a daunting task, but it really isn't as bad as it looks!
As an added bonus, you can use the scraps and bones to make your own turkey stock!
