Doctor's Day is Today


Put down the remote, grab your kids and head to Science Central’s Doctor’s Day on Saturday. The event is FREE (and includes free admission to Science Central).

Activities, which are geared toward elementary-school age children, but fun for all ages, include:

·         Examining bacteria under a microscope
·         Making a removable cast
·         Exploring Parkview’s helicopter, Sammy (weather permitting)
·         Getting an up-close look at Parkview’s Mobile Intensive Care Unit
·         Solving a digestive puzzle
·         Finding out what it takes to be a doctor from Abby Massey, MD
·         Staying out of the splash zone for the melon drop
·         Learning about caring for premature babies from NICU staff
·         Discovering the intricacies of your DNA
