Frugal Quick Tip: Use Less Hand Soap

This tip comes from a loyal and very interactive reader (and good friend), Katie.  Keep in mind, I have several friends named Katie, actually two of them read the blog AND my sister is Katie, who is my partner in this blog.  My husband often has to ask which Katie I am talking about.  Anyways...

Do your kids, husbands, or even yourself, use too much hand soap when washing your hands?  If so, you can slow them down by putting a rubber band around the neck of the bottle (like shown) to reduce the amount that comes out.

I am amazed how well this works.  You don't need much to get the job done and this rubber band ensures you don't use much.  I have even noticed how much less I use myself.

Thanks to all of my Katies, I love you all and am thankful for all of you!

  1. I make my own foaming soap, and one bottle of soap has refilled two dispensers 6 times so far. It's a great frugal tip!
