Random Frugal Lawn Tips

These quick frugal tips come to you courtesy of the bottom of my EcoLogix planner.
  • Use hot water to kill weeds to reduce harsh chemicals in our environment.
  • Water your lawn and garden in the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler to minimize evaporation.
  • Keep your lawn mower blades sharp.  Dull blades will tear the grass, damaging the plant, making it require more water than healthy plants.
  • Replace leaf blowers with a rake or broom to decrease the cirulation of dust that increases air pollution.
  • Use a broom to sweep off your driveway and sidewalk instead of the hose to conserve water.
