On Saturday, March 1, 2014, the 19th Annual Doctors Day will be held at Science Central from 10am-3pm, with free admission from 10am-2pm, thanks to the continued and generous sponsorship of the Fort Wayne Medical Society Foundation, Lutheran Health Network, and Parkview Health.
Overflow parking will be available at Lawton Park, with shuttle service provided by Lutheran and Parkview hospitals.
There will be over 30 booths featuring health-related and medical career information. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Theater. Lutheran Air and Parkview Samaritan helicopters will also be on hand, offering a glimpse into emergency medicine and the life-saving work they do.
Also, medical students from the Indiana University School of Medicine-Fort Wayne campus will have actual heart, lung, and brain specimens, and talk with the kids about the study of medicine.
