Frugal Thanksgiving: Decorations

Now that you've figured out how to save some money on the food you will serve, lets look at some ways to save money on the pretty house decorations.
  • Bring the outdoors indoors. Get as much inspiration and and many decorations as you can from outside. Natural items are pretty and also disposable. Save your Halloween pumpkins and gourds (if they were left uncarved) for Thanksgiving. If you know a local farmer, considering asking for a bundle of stalks. Choose some of the more colorful leaves that have fallen from the trees and arrange in the middle of the table for a festive centerpiece.
  • Pintrest.com. This website has SO many creative ideas for celebrating any holiday.
  • Give your kids some construction paper. Let them make leaves or turkey out of fall-colored construction paper.
