Fort Wayne, Indiana Events


FRIDAY, APRIL 29
  • Tree Give Away:  The Fort Wayne Arborists will be handing out free white spruce, canaan fir, serviceberry, black gum and hornbeam trees in honor of Arbor Day, in the south parking lot, the University of St. Francis from 7-10:30 a.m. 399-8050.
APRIL 27-30
  • Focus On HealthFree and low cost health checks and screenings, Fort Wayne.  Various sites and hours.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY, APRIL 30 and MAY 1
  • SolFestAt Fox Island, enjoy local music, beer garden, kids' area, hayrides and food.  Admission $5, but children 11 and under are free.  Noon to 8pm.
SUNDAY, MAY 1 
  • Fearless Champion of the Oppressed and Advocate of the Slaves: The Story of Alexander T. Rankin:  Angie Quinn will speak as part of the George R. Mather Lecture Series, free at the History Center, 2 p.m.
SATURDAY, MAY 14 
  • Young Eagles Flight Rally:  Free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17 (parent or legal guardian must be present) at Smith Field Airport, 490-8614.

  • Fiber Arts Celebration:  Soloman Farm Park, Fort Wayne.  The focus of the festival is education through hands-on participation and demonstrations of the processes of making natural fiber products:  wool dyeing, spinning, weaving and more.  Free admission and free parking.
SATURDAY, MAY 21

  • Great American Cleanup in DowntownAssociations, businesses, faith-based organizations and individuals needed to participate in the Great American Cleanup of downtown Fort Wayne.
