FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
  • Nappanee Apple Festival:  Craft booths, carnival, food and entertainment in downtown Nappanee.
  • Black Baseball in Indiana:  Documentary featuring archival photographs and video footage, plus interviews with historians and players, Fort Wayne Museum of Art at 6 p.m.  Free.
  • Middlebury Fall FestivalFarmers market, local artisans and crafters, homemade foods and contests, entertainment, classic car cruise-in and antique tractor display in downtown Middlebury.
  • Constituting the Constitution:  A lecture by Dr. Michael Rosano examining the U.S. founders' understanding of the basic principles, problems and solutions of free and republican government as established by the Constitution at Brookside Ballroom, University of Saint Francis at 1pm.  399-7700x8131

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
  • Nappanee Apple Festival: Craft booths, carnival, food and entertainment in downtown Nappanee. 
  • Middlebury Fall Festival: Farmers market, local artisans and crafters, homemade foods and contests, entertainment, classic car cruise-in and antique tractor display in downtown Middlebury.
  • 4th Annual Canoe Clean UpSpend a fun day with family and friends on the river cleaning up and educating yourself. For free canoe rental bring ID to Fort Wayne Outfitters Bike Depot.
  • Fall Harvest Days:  Seasonal decorations, a harvest market and seasonal demonstrations at Amish Acres, Nappanee, daily, Sept. 17- Oct. 31.  Free.
  • Harvest Fest:  A festival set during the early 20th century in Albion.
  • Johnny Appleseed Festival:  A celebration of the pioneer spirit of Johnny Appleseed with demonstrations, music and food at Johnny Appleseed Park. 
  • Outside Showcase:  Dancing at American Style Ballroom, free. 

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
  • Nappanee Apple Festival: Craft booths, carnival, food and entertainment in downtown Nappanee.
  • Harvest Fest: A festival set during the early 20th century in Albion.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
  • Constitution Day:  A free panel discussion titled "Personal Freedoms in a Post 9/11 World" in Neff Hall, Room 101, IPFW 7 p.m.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20
  • Hispanic Heritage Panel Discussion:  Panelists will share the experiences that led them to become involved in community affairs and discuss the development of cross-cultural alliances in Walb Union Ballroom, IPFW at 1:15 p.m.  Free, 481-6847.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
  • Get to Work Lecture:  A lecture by author Linda Hirshman about her book telling women to pursue and stick with a career rather than accept traditional notions of femininity at Neff Hall, Room 101, IPFW at 7:30 pm.  Free, 481-6895.
  • Teaching the iGeneration: Because Digital Writing Matters:  Digital writing expert, Troy Hicks, speaks at Kettler Hall, Room G-46, IPFW at 7 pm.  Free, 481-6074.
