Instead of spending lots of money on wrapping paper, try wrapping your child's birthday presents in the comics. Kids usually care more about getting the paper off to see what is inside than what it looks like. We suggest saving the comics in a plastic bag to be kept with your other wrapping items so you always have it on hand.
My Family has been doing this for 20 plus years. I've never had "real" wrapping paper except at Christmas or from friends.
