Apps and Websites to Check Out

My oldest came home from preschool with a Parent & Child Magazine that had a list of apps and websites for family savings.  I listed their choices and paraphrased the descriptions provided:
  • Pinger:  Free app that lets you text for free from your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android.
  • Food On the Table:  Audrey just talked about this meal planning service last week!
  • Scorebig.com:  This site lets you set your max price for event tickets, and it will find the seats in your price range.
  • Piggymojo.com:  A site that helps you save money.  Text it when you feel compelled to make an impulse purchase, and it will text you back with how much you are saving by not indulging.
  • EggDrop:  This free app is a combo of Craigslist and Ebay with a "falling price" auction for items in your area.
  • Zaarly:  This app lets you name your price for things you want or need, and then you wait for the offers to come in.
  • Ebookfling.com:  This site where you can lend or borrow ebooks.
  • Shooger.com:  This site or app lets you find local deals and promos at nearby stores that others have uploaded.
  • Diggerslist.com:  This site is basically a free home-improvement classified ad.
