Did you know that you can request a Prompt Pay Discount of 10% when paying your Parkview Hospital Bill? You can request this discount if you pay your bill in full within 30 days of the statement date on your bill, regardless of the size of your bill. I've known about this discount for a while, but I was under the impression it was only applicable for larger bills. But, it can be applied to ANY size bill! Simply call and speak with someone in the Parkview Billing Department for more details.
If you use another hospital system or have bills from labs, physicians or other offices/services, it might not hurt to call and ask the billing department about discounts before you pay any medical bill. Other places may offer some type of prompt pay discount as well.
Three Rivers Ambulance Authority gives a 20% prompt pay discount (which we had the pleasure of finding out about first hand...don't worry, everyone is fine).
I just want to kick myself for all of the money I've wasted paying my bills on time without utilizing these types of discounts! Moral of the story...Go through your Explanation of Benefits with a fine-toothed comb and call to ask questions and request a prompt pay discount before you pay your medical bills.
