Frugal Family Fun at the New Haven Parks

If you live in the New Haven area and are looking for some fun activities for your children, you might only need to look as far as your nearest park.  The New Have Parks opened their Playground Sheds on Monday, June 4th.

Each park has certain hours and certain days are specified for particular activities:

Jury
Mon-Fri.  9AM to 12PM and 12:30 to 3:30PM

Schnelker
Mon, Wed, and Fri:  9AM to 12PM
and Mon-Fri 12:30 to 3:30PM

Meadowbrook
Mon-Fri. 9AM to 12PM and 12:30 to 3:30PM


Klotz
Mon-Fri:  12:30 to 3:30PM


Havenhurst
Mon-Fri.:  9AM to 12PM

Here are the themes for each day:

Free Bead Monday
Make a craft of your choice with some of the Parks department's beads.

Game Day Tuesday
Games types will vary from week to week.

Wet Wednesday
Water games are the highlight of the day.

Nature Thursday
Activities will vary from week to week.

Fear Factor Friday
Come test your resolve every Friday at one of the parks.

Most activities run through July 31, don't forget your sunscreen!
