Here's another New Haven Parks Frugal Summer Fun idea:
Story in the Park
Join the New Haven Parks department for a story in the park on (at Schnelker Park) and then stay for a free craft following the story. According to the Summer Program Guide 2012, the art project will consist of different mediums and there is even a "kid-sized" art show on Fridays.
Craft and story have a target audience of the 4-8 year old crowd. Art activities take place every Monday through Friday at 1:30pm. The story is only on Thursdays at 1pm.
