Library Custom Collection Form
Teachers and parents alike can take advantage of the Custom Collection form from the Allen County Public Library! You can request a collection of books, CDs, DVDs and more on your specific topic!
I had my four year old pick out the first subject so we could give this service a whirl. She decided she wanted to know more about flowers and how they bloom. We received a number of picture books, a pocket wildflower field guide and a couple DVDs (apparently there were more items behind the desk, so be sure to ask when you go to pick up your collection...we had just gotten the items that were on hold).
We took an afternoon to talk about flowers and pollination. Then we watched the videos and read the books. Afterwards, the girls wanted to draw pictures of their favorite flowers and tape them up all over the house! It was a fun and interactive experience!
My 6 year old decided that we will learn how glass is made for our next bundle!
