'Tis the season for extreme weather changes. If you are like me, you are reluctant to turn on the air conditioning. There are a couple quick tips to stretch your air conditioning-free days a little further.
- Turn the blinds down toward the floor when it is cool outside as this direction will let in more heat and light.
- Turn the blinds up to the ceiling when it is warm outside as this will direct heat and light straight to the ceiling where it will stay, thus keeping your house cooler.
- Make sure your blinds and curtains are closed when the hot summer sun is streaming through the windows, especially when you are away from the house. Keeping the house closed up with create a cave-like effect and make for cooler indoor temperatures.
