Feld Entertainment graciously provided Kate and I with ten tickets to last night's show of Disney Junior Live on Tour Pirate and Princess Adventure. They also gave us four tickets to give away to one lucky reader. Erica W., we hope you had a great time, too!
As promised, the evening started out with Doc McStuffins. You could hear the collective gasp of anticipation and excitement as the actress and her props came out on the stage. The cartoon voices were pre-recorded so the actors were lip-syncing.
Next up was Sophia the First and her associates. Being the mother of four boys, I was somewhat unaware of what her story line was, but all of the little girls in the audience were entranced. There was lots of dancing and and singing, complete with ballroom gowns and big hair. The show even included a cameo appearance by Cinderella. When I polled my three nieces, their favorite part was at the end when Sophia's dress grows and she is elevated high off the stage. It was something to see.
After a brief intermission, Jake and his crew came out for their number. My boys were on the edges of their seats to see the entire interaction between Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Captain Hook. My eight year old was impressed with the costumes and set changes. Peter Pan was the throwback appearance for this show and he 'flew' in with the help of flying harnesses. The gold coin-exploding volcano was my four year old's favorite part of this show.
All-in-all, it was a great show. We were on the floor and at times it was difficult to see over our neighbors, this would have been my only complaint. Thanks again, to Feld Entertainment for the fantastic experience. Think about checking out their next show when they come to Fort Wayne again!
We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much FrugalFortWayne! :)
