Audrey had the idea for this great kid learning activity using your copious amounts of candy from Halloween!
- Have your children sort the candy into like item piles. We ended up with an 'other' pile for the candy that didn't have duplicates.
- Help your children draw a graph. Have them chart how many of each type of candy you have. After all candy has been charted, ask them questions that require them to read the graph such as: What type of candy do we have the most of? The least? How many types of candy do we only have 3 pieces of? What happens to our graph if we each eat a piece? (That was their favorite question!)
The girls had a blast doing this! Later while I was making dinner, my two year old was pulling her bibs out of the drawer, putting them in piles and counting them!
