Do you have Halloween candy coming out of your ears? Do you want to re-purpose some (or all) of it? Never fear, Frugal Fort Wayne has some suggestions:
- Cook with it! This woman gives lots of recipes involving leftover Halloween candy.
- Freeze it. According to stilltasty.com, packaged chocolate candies will keep for 10-12 months in the freezer, fridge or in the pantry. Mine vote is for the freezer, less likely to keep snacking when the candy is in there.
- Take it to work and leave it in the break room.
- Donate it. There is a woman in Florida that uses the candy as 'packing peanuts' for gifts she sends to the military overseas. I think this is just an ingenious idea. You can find out more about this project by going to treatsfortroops.info.
